We rely and demand on constant communication from our drivers. It is the key to our success. We feature cargo, and sprinter vans. We are very fair in our compensation, which I will not discuss here. We also have a pretty quick pay program. Feel free to call 734-672-7153. ask for Michelle, and she can give you more details.

Welcome Lord High Dispatcher! Thanks so much for the info. I indeed spoke with Michelle a couple days ago and I have decided to go with On-Dekk after I pick up my new van on Monday. It sounds very good. I appreciate the feedback. Maybe I will see you around there one of these days.

According to a post I read on another forum, JD is apparently still involved in On-Dekk.

I'm a solo, and JD Clark is a great fit for me as a solo straight. Most weeks I get 5 to 6 runs.

Good to know that there are other choices for us solo drivers. I'm still with Express Way and happy but who knows what the future holds with any business relationship.

Good choice. You won't be sorry. Little is posted about On-Dekk on the forums. We don't have a bunch of sucka** drivers babbling about how great the company is because were always busy working! Seriously though, they are good people...

My advice, for what it's worth, is stick to one carrier at first to see what they can do for you. Those drivers who sign on with multiples are not going to get the same consideration as a driver who is dedicated to one carrier. Secondly, if you are in an area where 2 or more of the carriers you are signed on with are bidding on the same load ( which often happens) you end up being bid against yourself and could easily end up getting screwed because of it. Lastly, you run the risk of angering one or more of your carriers when you accept a load from one and then another calls 5 minutes later with a load you can't take because you just accepted the other one. Running with multiple carriers successfully takes an incredible attention to detail. Keep that in mind.

I would have to say that if a carrier tells you to add another one because you will "starve" if you don't, they probably aren't worth their salt. If you dedicate yourself to On-Dekk I suspect you will have plenty of freight, depending on your location of course.

Yeah that does make sense.... The good thing about them tho She said she always has loads coming out of VA which isnt normal as far as freight lanes go. So that will be good as far as when im out of service and need to get out to the butter... Where are some of on dekks hot spots?

I have to agree with some others on this thread. On-Dekk is a great company to be contracted with. I especially like the fact that they pay twice a week. Also on the subject of running with more than one carrier, I highly recommend it. I am currently with 4 companies and do not think it is a bad thing to have 2 or 3 bids on the same job. The more bids you have, the more likely you get the run. When I get called on a load, I usually call my other companies to see if they can bid the same job for me.
